KAI Partners is excited to hire for two Senior Project Manager positions in the Sacramento area! Here are the details:

ITIL Senior Project Manager

The ITIL Senior Project Manager will work on a project for one of KAI Partners’ public sector clients. The ITIL Senior PM has extensive experience leading application and infrastructure service delivery for complex organizations, managing implementation projects, and consulting in the areas of IT service management, enterprise architecture, and IT strategy development.

With a minimum three (3) years’ knowledge/experience with ITIL implementation and PMP® Certification, the ITIL Senior PM is responsible for:

  • Working to develop, document, and implement the change in operational responsibilities for the client’s needs;
  • Supporting the maturation of IT Operations and the new State Service Management Framework based on the ITIL standard;
  • Establishing and documenting ITIL Service Management best practices for the client and keeping executives and staff apprised of developments in implementing the new operational model; and
  • Supporting business and technical teams with the analysis of existing systems, application and technical infrastructure, and assisting in the development of recommendations; and more.

Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager will support the PMO of one KAI Partners’ public sector clients. With a minimum 8 years’ project management experience and a PMP® Certification, the Senior PM is responsible for:

  • Reviewing and reporting on the consistency of the system development contractor’s work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, staffing plans, and resource utilization;
  • Monitoring the progress of the system development contractor against the project schedule and plans and produce related progress reports and metrics-using client approved Project Management Office tools and procedures;
  • Building and maintaining the client’s project schedules, integrating the replacement contractor’s schedule with client project staff, and other program stakeholder activities;
  • Monitoring client resource allocation and utilization and make recommendations for pre-emptive and corrective actions;
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and participating in issue and risk management activities including identification, mitigation, and contingency planning;
  • Consistently identifying needs that clients may not recognize and ensure approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs; and more.
